Sonos for Business: VibeBeats Sonos Support in Beta (2026)

Sonos support is in beta. Venues must apply for beta access, and applications are currently full. Setup guidance for approved venues, with directly licensed VibeBeats music. VibeBeats is direct-licensed background music for cafés, restaurants, bars, gyms, retail stores, salons, spas, clinics and hotels. No music licensing/PRO fees (*No OneMusic, ASCAP, BMI, PPL PRS or SOCAN licence needed for VibeBeats music.) Other music sources may still require licensing. The AI DJ reshapes each playlist through the trading day.

TL;DR: Sonos support is in beta, not the core VibeBeats service. Venues must apply for Sonos beta access, and applications are currently full. The setup steps below are for approved beta venues. Every track is directly licensed, so the performance licence is already in the subscription.

Already have approved Sonos beta access? Follow the full visual setup guide on the Sonos for Business page — it shows exactly where to find your Household ID, where to paste it in VibeBeats, and what VibeBeats looks like inside the Sonos app.

Setup for approved beta venues in four steps:

Sign in to your VibeBeats account. A free trial of the core VibeBeats service is 14 days, no card required, but does not include Sonos beta access. In the Sonos app, tap the settings cog → System → General Settings → About Your System, and copy your Household ID (it starts with Sonos_). In VibeBeats, go to Profile → Business → Sonos, paste the Household ID and tap Save. For approved beta venues, we connect your Household ID and email you when your Sonos connection is live. Then in the Sonos app, go to Manage Services, search VibeBeats and add it.

What Sonos support in beta includes

For approved beta venues, VibeBeats music plays natively on the Sonos speakers you already own:

• Your vibes and day-lists — the playlists and schedules you set in VibeBeats appear in the Sonos app, ready to play in any room. • AI DJ sets — music that shifts through the trading day on its own, so nobody behind the counter is picking songs. More on the VibeBeats AI DJ. • The licence in the subscription — every track is directly licensed for commercial playback, so there is no separate collecting-society tariff on top. See how music licensing works. • A Certificate of Compliance — paperwork you can show an inspector, for the named premises. You can verify a certificate any time.

Why venues use Sonos with VibeBeats

Sonos makes excellent speakers, but the speakers are only half the job — the music service on top must be licensed for public performance. A staff Spotify or Apple Music login on house speakers is not, no matter how good the playlist is. We covered that in detail in Spotify for Business.

Sonos support in beta closes that gap for approved venues without new hardware: your Sonos system stays exactly where it is, and VibeBeats appears alongside your other services in the Sonos app once your Household ID is connected. Sonos support in beta is for Sonos S2 systems — Era, One, Five, Beam, Arc, Move, Roam, plus Amp and Port for venues wired into an existing amplifier. Not on Sonos? You can also connect VibeBeats to almost any speaker — Alexa, AirPlay, Chromecast, Bluetooth or a wired venue system.

Multi-room and multi-venue

For approved beta venues, Sonos handles the rooms and grouping; VibeBeats supplies the music. Run a calm morning list in the dining room while the gym floor plays something faster, and save a separate Household ID for each site on a multi-venue account. For more on zoning, see in-store audio.

How Sonos beta access works

Venues need to apply for Sonos beta access, and applications are currently full. When a spot opens and your venue is approved, we connect your Household ID and email you when your system is live. There is no promised approval time. Once connected, VibeBeats shows up under Manage Services in the Sonos app on every controller connected to that household.
